Spring is defiantly in the Air!

Spring is by far my most favorite season! Gunner and I took a walk today around town and of course we had to stop at the park. It was such a beautiful day I started snapping pictures of flowers and trees. I even had flip flops and capris on. I'm in heaven!
I didn't know tulips were my favorite flower until I moved here. Aren't they just gorgeous?

We even enjoy watching the squirrels at the park. They are very friendly and will come up to you. This one started coming up to me and I had to hurry and snap the pic and get out there. I was afraid he was going to nibble on my toes.
I love these trees! They call them dogwood. They are so pretty! The picture doesn't do it justice.

This is downtown Emmett on Main Street. I love this cool looking clock.

This tree is how the song popcorn popping came about. I never understood that song until I moved here. Just thought I'd share some of God's beautiful creations.

"There is a FIRST time for everything"

Today marks the FIRST anniversary since we moved up here to Idaho. Since we've moved up here there has been alot of FIRST'S for us. FIRST of all this is the FIRST time we've ever moved out of state. Here is a list of other FIRST'S.

-moved into a ward and didn't know a single person (that was a weird feeling)
-live in a small town
-Darin dug and plumbed his FIRST swimming pool
-planted a garden
-went fishing as a family
-went to our town's cherry festival
-took a limo ride as a family
-made fresh apricot and peach jam
-froze 40 quarts of corn
-I was called to be the camp director
-picked apples, peaches, pears and grapes
-dried apples, peaches, pears and grapes (the pears are the best)
-canned peaches, tomatoes, salsa and applesauce
-ate Huckleberries and had huckleberry pancakes
-Darin has traveled to Oregon, Washington, Montana and Wyoming for work
-Darin shot his FIRST deer
-to serve in a primary presidency
-build a house and do everything ourselves
-drive in the snow
-went a way for Christmas
-Darin went pheasant hunting (didn't get one)
-we ate Darin's friends pheasant (very good)
-had out of town guest
-swam in natural hot springs
-and last week Gunner lost his FIRST tooth

We really have enjoyed living here in Idaho. Even though we miss family and friends like crazy, we've been able to experience alot of cool things here. I do miss that AZ sun just a little bit. I think I would be okay if I could just have 10 mins to bake in it. Maybe that would keep me warm for a few days. Actually by Thursday it is suppose to be in the 70's. I can't wait!!

Visitors!

A couple of weeks ago Mark & Kaylene's family visited us. We had so much fun! The kids enjoyed spending time with their cousins that they don't get to see very often. It was also the same weekend as Tatum's birthday party. This is Tatum and her friends.
